Hungarian Terracotta Jug (no. 3)
These Hungarian terracotta or earthenware jugs are just fantastic - beautiful, rustic, and so strking in their simplicity. I bought a collection of them from auction, which you can see in the final photo, and each are unique in size and shape.
This particular jug is 22cm high and approximately 20cm wide including the handle. It is hand-thrown terracotta with handpainted white or slip bands along the neck. It is completely intact with no cracks, but obviously does have age-related marks.
